CEPESE – Research Centre for the Study of Population, Economy and Society is an inter-university research unit, established by the University of Porto and the Eng. António de Almeida Foundation, with the mission of developing research work in the field of History and of Humanities and Social Sciences in general, by carrying out research projects and publishing and disseminating results in books, peer-reviewed journals and through digital platforms, promoting and disseminating scientific culture within the Portuguese society and across borders. Our digital repository provides all the issues of our journal, Population and Society, as well as our collections Militarium Ordinum Analecta, Portuguese in the World and Economy and Society, and many other publications.
