A Importância do Desenvolvimento da Linguagem em Creche - Percursos Possíveis
| Summary: | The acquisition of the child's language in early childhood takes place first by hearing and becoming familiar with it and only later by its oral production (Sim-Sim, Silva and Nunes, 2008). The present report mirrors a study and an action research on the importance of language development in daycare. With this study it was possible to analyze the behaviors of children, in an age range between 12 and 24 months of age, within the scope of activities with an impact on language development in daycare centers. As such, some aspects were assumed that could be seen as possible paths to develop language, namely the exploration of songs, storytelling, the naming of objects and the realization of dynamics where the child can follow instructions. The study included a sample of 14 children, aged between 12 and 24 months of age, from a 1-year-old room, from a Private Assistance and Social Solidarity Collective Association of the associative and non-profit type, located in an area whose population has a medium / low economic level. For this study, an action investigation was carried out and a qualitative methodology was used, supported by checklists as a data collection instrument. After the elaboration of the study, it was possible to arrive at some results that show us that, in fact, using paths such as exploring songs, telling stories, naming objects and performing communication interaction dynamics, it is possible to observe a notable evolution in language development, namely when singing the final words of songs, responding correctly to instructions given and naming objects and people. |
