Ouvir o (in)visível: a sonificação de dados aplicada ao jornalismo sonoro

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Never, as today, have we had access to so much data and, at the same time, so much difficulty in decoding it. In the new media ecosystem, access to information is no longer a problem, because the real challenge has become interpretation and verification. In this context of data profusion, the area of journalism most capable of transforming data into journalistically relevant information has gained relevance. Data journalism, but above all data visualization, are at the origin of several innovative narratives. But is data visualization the only solution for presenting information in the journalistic field? In this work, we propose to reflect, through an exploratory observation, on the possibility of data being used in audio journalism, namely using sonification. Considering the potential of the data, but also the challenges facing the radio, we explore the possibility of innovation in journalistic genres and formats through the practice of data sonification.
