Design da Informação e ações comunicacionais em websites de museus

Bibliographic Details
Summary:Technological possibilities create potential for cultural organizations, including museums, our proposal with the presentation of the methodology of Design Science Research, meets the solutions presented by the current Information and Communication Technologies. The general objective was to outline the specific features and characteristics of Information Design for the creation, production and maintenance of the image of the museum object in the context of digital museum environments. The solutions found allow new contributions to museological institutions, both to optimize the management processes, to make them more efficient and agile, and to communicate the knowledge produced by the objects contained in the collections and exhibitions in order to generate meaningful and enveloping experiences, both in physical and digital environments. The issues and problems that arise in this scenario involve human, technical, technological and financial resources. In addition to technological issues, a communication strategy with the public should achieve three basic objectives: to provide the public with a broad knowledge of the institution and the services it offers; motivate public participation in the activities it promotes and foster the use of services; and strengthen and consolidate museum-public relations. Starting from this dialogic conception, it becomes essential to develop a flexible communication model, but challenges are imposed. In an ideal scenario it is necessary for an inter., multi., and/or transdisciplinary team to concretize the process, and develop an ideal and contextualized work methodology (Design System) together with professionals, technicians, monitors and visitors for the development of activities, to be proposed for the communication actions in the museological institutions
