| Summary: | Vania is the fifth show of a cycle which Eric Lacascade has devoted to the works of Anton Tchekhov. If his process of creation lies in that attempt in numerous slices,,the same actors appearing all along the theatrical adventure,the memorized traces of that common and shared experience reveal before all the desire for an artistic revival. Because Vania is a sort of challenge against time, binding artistic communities as well as a mirror questioning about the forms and methods that united the prime unity.In that respect, the cycle devoted to Tchekhov is then the the image of the mere act of creation that is less a matter for logical temporality than for a necessity resembling the spiral in which times past and present are continually recombined. |
