| Resumo: | Social issues have gained an increasing importance trough recent years. This fact urges a more participative intervention as well as an attitude shift from everyone in the society in order to achieve a positive contribution related to this matter. Although they do not replace State or its policies, organizations have been incorporating a new conception of social action. Voluntarily and fully committed, they embrace concerns around social, economic or environmental issues always having in mind best management and profitability. As companies are in nowadays most relevant and influent, it is of utmost importance to understand the real impact of this new way of intervention that contributes to a more balanced society. So, the goal of this study is to analyse and present the various effects of a social responsible policy, at environmental level, in Otis Elevadores SA. |
