Do individual ao colectivo: estudo de caso de uma experiência de promoção de trabalho colaborativo docente

Bibliographic Details
Summary:The issue of this work fits within the paradigm of teacher professional cultures. The research question that motivated this work was the need to understand the impact of the implementation of a set of measures to promote collaborative work and its implications for personal relationships and the dynamics of professional teachers in a school of the district of Setúbal. The collaborative work is thus the concept around which this empirical study is developed. It is materialized through a case study, and adopts a mixed methodology since it articulates a qualitative / interpretative with the data resulting from quantitative variables and demographic character. The results resemble those theories more accepted in the scientific community, in that they reaffirm the assumptions of collaborative work, coupled with the difficulty of changing the paradigm of the teaching profession. Nevertheless, emerging cases for change in some groups of teachers are encouraging, which may be indicators of the change that is intended, for the sake of the quality of education and welfare of teachers.
