Summary:Among the literary practices, poetry, because of its aesthetic significance, occupies a special place, especially in Acadia. As its dynamism leads one to believe, it has raised itself to the position of an institution of Acadian culture, the first Acadian writers being above all poets. This article thus will discuss the notion of a “national literature” with regard to this practice in particular.
