O desenvolvimento da linguagem oral no pré-escolar

Resumo:Story reading is an important way to the development of language because is an opportunity for transmitting information, increase the vocabulary of children and at the same time promote the cognitive development of children. This study aims to explore the influence of story reading on the development of oral language in the formal context of pre-school education. This work came under the Supervised Teaching Practice of the Qualification Master for Teaching in Pre-school Education and departed from the perspective of cooperative educator of an institution located in Oeiras. An investigation-action was developed, with a group of 18 children aged five years and the respective cooperative educator. The data collection tools were an interview with the teacher, observation, informal conversations and field notes to help answer the research questions: Does reading stories influence the taste of children by books? and "Does reading stories contributes to the acquisition of vocabulary of children? Through the results obtained it is possible to confirm and emphasize the importance of reading stories to the development of oral language, specifically as a contribution to the acquisition of new vocabulary by children attending pre-school education.
