The Journal of Tourism and Development (REVISTA TURISMO & DESENVOLVIMENTO - RT&D) is an editorial project of the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism of the University of Aveiro, published twice a year since 2004. It was the first journal created in Portugal, aiming specifically for the tourism area. Its mission is to provide the knowledge and research produced in this area. As an international journal, it accepts publishing texts in Portuguese, English and Spanish. It also fosters contributions that reflect perspectives from authors from different countries. RT&D is conducted according to international excellence criteria: the evaluation of the submitted articles is assured by a double-blind peer review, in two phases, held by a commission consisted of referees from prestigious national and foreign universities.
