Entre memória e esquecimento: Por uma intervenção participativa no centro comercial STOP
| Resumo: | Contemporary society is going through a period of crisis on several levels, namely economic and social, requiring some reflection upon the discipline of architecture and the role of the architect as responsible and active agents in transforming this scenario. The way in which, both city and society, have been changing and manifesting challenges the structures and hierarchies of power and of decision. As such, this paper seeks to place architecture and the architect as joint and supporting forces regarding these issues. By using Centro Comercial STOP's particular case, located in the eastern area of Porto, currently being occupied as a hub of musical production, we look to show how participative and collaborative ways of doing architecture can present themselves as real alternatives towards the restructuring of social politics. |
