| Summary: | This thesis investigates the relationship between the level of financial literacy of investors and their concern regarding corporate governance. It utilizes data from a 2021 survey conducted by CMVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários) which includes a wide range of questions designed to measure respondents financial literacy and specific questions addressing their interest and attention towards corporate governance topics. By analyzing this data, the study seeks to understand the extent to which investors' financial knowledge impacts their concern and interest with the governance practices of the companies they invest in. The findings of this research are expected to provide insights into the importance of financial education in fostering informed and responsible investment behaviors. |
