Summary:The dissertation will take place on the importance of social media in American presidential campaigns, in order to analyze their impact at the time of the vote.This research aims to undertake the relevance of digital platforms and tools, their final impact on the voter. This work aims to analyse all the stages and knowledge to compose the campaigns, it is important to understand which are the techniques adopted, the previous preparation, the routines and strategies taken during these episodes. Because they are epic and unique moments for the candidates, their dynamics towards the social media will henceforth be different. The aim of this dissertation is to illustrate how the social media and its tools can be handled during campaigns. In this sense, this research discusses how influential and deliberative social media can be in the voting decision.
