| Summary: | Occupational Safety and Health helps employers establish and maintain a safety and health management program that ensures a safe and healthy working environment for all workers. In the development of their activity, the workers are faced with various types of risks: physical, biological, chemical, ergonomic, mechanical and psychosocial. These are the last ones, which in which we are concerned in this dissertation. Psychosocial risks are emerging risks and are considered as one of the main factors in the occurrence of incidents and accidents at the organizational level. In the present work a characterization of the main factors of psychosocial risks in a resort and hotel, located in the Algarve. Thus, in order to achieve the desired objective, a methodology based on questionnaires (Copenhaqen Psychosocial Questionaire - COPSOQ, in the medium version) was used for the workers, a semi-structured interview with the person responsible for occupational health and safety at the organization, participant observational documentary of the last three years. With the elaboration of this study it was possible to verify that the organization has a policy of safety at work although it lacks some improvement in some aspects. Regarding the psychosocial risk factors, the results show moderate risk values, however, the dimension "labor requirements" was the one that presented most in relation to the other dimensions. |
