A (im) pertinência do diálogo - entre a Natureza e a Abstração

Bibliographic Details
Summary:We are living in a state of apnea, drowning in an atmosphere of turbulence and turmoil, mediated by an excessive proliferation of the information and communication systems. Consequently, the setting of an increasing autonomy of the field towards the natural realm manifests itself, restraining itself to generic abstract models that progressively separate being from the physical reality that surrounds him, creating an illusory parallel universe of fake proximities.Effectively, the superficiality that composes the range of arguments frequently used as an answer to the speculative pressure, projects the intent of a building to an image-based universe, underestimating the negotiation and dialogue between two structuring domains in Architecture - Nature (NN) and Abstraction (AA).This dissertation seeks to inaugurate a space for reflection on the intersection of these two domains, based on a two-folded structure that corresponds to two complementary but different approaches: the first, starts from a dialogue to undress potential (dis)encounters between the two domains, subject to a first scrutiny followed by the creation of a spectrum (NN.NA.AA) that lays out and mediates both; the second focuses on a parallel practical investigation that highlights the singularity of an attitude and its effect on the pertinence of a dialogue, based on the previous choice of three specific and antagonistic contexts that stimulate the development of a discovering process based on the uncertainty of a principle, confirmed under the design of three installations that synthetize and open a useful debate of the construction and pertinence of a dialogue.
