Organização da Segurança Contra Incêndio em edifícios: Estudo de Caso - Hotel Tivoli de Lagos
| Summary: | The safety culture is extremely important to implement in buildings. Fire Safety in any building should have as its main objective the protection of human life and property. In this sense, the present work presents several aspects that allow the buildings to be properly organized and managed to be able to face emergency situations. Initially, in this work, a framework is outlined to the theme of Fire Safety in Buildings, with an approach to the current legislation and the self-protection measures required, among them, preventive measures, intervention measures, safety records, Fire Safety training in Buildings and simulacra. The applicability of these measures depends on the standard use of the building and its category of risk. This dissertation addresses the requirements in the structuring and training of the various elements that have responsibilities in fire safety, due to the importance and the legal duty in buildings, to have an internal structure capable of dealing with and mitigating the human and material damages resulting from an emergency situation. In order to complement this dissertation, a practical case is presented, with measures for the organization and management of fire safety, at the Hotel Tivoli, located in the historic center of the city of Lagos. Having been built on a date prior to the publication of the new legislation, it was therefore checked to see what aspects might have to change in order to comply with the new legislation. |
